Speed Form

The goal for this project is a to crate an organic form that conveys a sense of speed with the design language

Sketches
At first I used my inspiration board to sketch up some top and side views. This allowed me to get a lot of ideas out of my head and see what worked and what did not.
After seeing what worked and what did not, I started to draw my thoughts in 3D to give me a better understanding of what my speed form should look like.
Process
In this stage of the design process I was making last minute changes and getting the cross sections from cutting up my clay models. This allowed me to finalize my form and start creating the skeleton for my project.
Final Design
My final speedform, applies many of the characteristics that images from my inspiration board had. The point and tail of my design was inspired by the bird image and the spine was inspired by the alligator picture. The smooth singular lines going to the back of the form and the spine help show speed in my design.
