Lets Make A Music App!
In this group project is to make a music app that is specific for one type or genre and we decided to pick Jazz as my group.
What is Jazz?
Jazz from African American communities in 19th/20th century differs with its improvisation and swing rhythms. Fans span young adults to older.
Jazz focuses on live events with favorite artists performing instrumentally.
Jazz is so broad that there so many different sub genres for people to discover
Problem Statement
We are trying to create a Jazz app that helps Jazz enthusiasts to Explore, Find Live Events and to find music suited for their Mood.

A lot of new jazz enthusiasts value the experience of going to live jazz events but never know where to go unless they have connections
Based on the data we collected, experienced jazz listeners appreciate the experience of music exploration and discovering sub genres
A majority of our jazz listeners listen to certain songs based on their mood or activity they are doing at the time.
Initial Version
In the app design, we focused on a dark tone with colorful accents.
Moods - Pick something specific to match your current mood.
Live Events - Many enjoy hearing jazz at clubs but struggle to find live shows.
Live Steams - Some concerns were raised about the distance to live events, suggesting live event streams as a helpful solution.
